Council approves redevelopment ordinance in unanimous vote

NJ SALEM — Salem Common Council approves three ordinances and eight resolutions in unanimous caucus vote. The council adopted three ordinances at its February 9 meeting, including a redevelopment agreement for Block 5, Lots 26, 27, and 28, amendments to towing regulations, and updates to property maintenance standards. Mayor Dr.
Jody Veler moved to exclude a garage-storage requirement for restoration vehicles from the property maintenance ordinance, noting many Salem homes lack garages. The council also passed eight resolutions as a consent agenda, including budget appropriations transfers and appointment of a full-time police officer.
